On the 24th Of August 2014, the KL
Lions Clubs from District 308 B1 organized the WORLD Environment Day at
Help College of Arts and Technology with the help of the Omega Leo
Clubs.
We reached around 8:30 am by using the KTM. The Leo's that participated in this event was the President Leo Dharshan a/l Vimalanathan , the Vice President 1, Leo Joanne Yep Tee Wey and the Vice Secretary Leo Ahmad Habibul Amin. We started off the event with some Laughing Yoga .
Opening ceremony started at 9.40 and
the speech given by District Governor, Lion Lim Hoe Guan. Follow by
Environmental talk by Dr K Kalithasan of Global Environmental Centre on
“Raise Your Voice Not the Sea Level” & Environmental Talk By Stuart
Scott, International Ecological Safety Collaborative organization
(IESCO) on “Climate Change: urgent Risk, Urgent Action”
After the talk, there were various type of Games, exhibition and competition line up such as Public Speaking, Lantern making, Recycled Materials Outfit Design and Games store in the help of Omega Leo’s. Leo Kan Sha assisted in the Recycled Materials Outfit Design where his takes care of the judges, their comment and their score sheet.
