LEO CLUB OF SMKTBM : Leo Orientation of SMK Jinjang & SMK Sultan Abdul Samad Day year 2014/2015

On the 17 August 2014, Leo Club of SMK Taman Bukit Maluri has attended an orientation day that was held by SMK Jinjang & SMK Sultan Abdul Samad. Held at Goldhill Club, Taman Menjalara, Kepong. 35 Leos from 4 clubs participated - Omega Leo Club of KL Unity, Leo Club of SMK Jinjang, Leo Club of SMK SAS and the Leo Club of SMK Taman Bukit Maluri. 14 members from KL Zon present. Leo Alvin (Omega Leo Club of KL Unity) was the organising chairman. Speakers were: Lion Ben Sng - 'Leos' history, activities, awards and benefits' Lion Vincent Hoh - 'Team work and Goal Setting for Leo Clubs'.

Well although only 4 members participated but I can ensure that we have brought up our name :) The event was suppose to start at 8:30am but then it was delayed till 9:30++. Well at first we entertained ourself by taking selfies and getting to know other Leo Members. We were given Milo and a chocolate bun as our tiny little bites before the event started. At first we were shock that we were the only guest that came for their event, but it was truely nice to be able to join the event.

Why must we fight for charity? What do we raise by doing charity?

We reached early and they were not really prepared, so I guess we shall entertain ourselves with some selfie. :)

Learned that Leadership & Teamwork is a key to success in life. The most exciting part was we were given 15 minutes to come out with a Year Planner for 2014/2015. Despite that we only had 4 members and all the other clubs had 12-14 members. We still manage to pour out all our plans and ideas as we were very cooperative with each other. We had 3 minute presentation as well and we spoke about the profit earn and lost for the events . We also stressed on the reasons why we held those particular events and it will be donated to the charity organisation such as Beautiful Gates Home, which needs some money to build a better living.
