LEO CLUB OF SMKTBM : Leo Club of Kepong Baru Badminton Competition 2014

On the 30th of August, Leo Club of SMKTBM had participated in the Leo Club of Kepong Baru's Badminton Competition 2014. It was held in Pusat Badminton Sri Sinar from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm. The organizing chairperson was Leo Jarriel Ong and to be honest, we, Leo Club of SMKTBM and students from SMKTBM were glad we could participate and had a great time as we not only had fun but woke up on a Saturday morning to exercise and keep ourselves fit. Kudos to Leo Club of SMK Kepong Baru and participants of SMKTBM whom, of course, did a brilliant job!

Here are the list of participants from SMKTBM:

Men Singles:
-Siow Tze Yang
-Chew Daniel

Women Singles:
-Sabrina Chin

Mixed Doubles:
-Joanne Yep and Phoon Yong Ji
-Mavis Liew and Winson Ong

I am proud to say that Sabrina Chin had successfully grabbed the gold medal in Women Singles. Siow Tze Yang and Chew Daniel successfully made it to the second round of the competition but resigned from playing as the court was simply too hot and it was about lunch time and started dreaming about their delicious Indo Mee~~ As for Joanne Yep and Phoon Yong Ji, they successfully won the first round but unfortunately lost the second round by 1 point during deuce match with participants from Sultan Abdul Samad :( BUT It's Okay! :) Look at the bright side. We participated and had fun too :) It's not about winning or losing, it's the participation that matters.

Myself, Leo Tarane Subramaniam, Leo Dharshan a/l Vimalanathan and Leo Ahmad Habibul Amin were the supporters of the day!! We received goodie bags with a packet of Gardenia Bun, a bottle of mineral water and a certificate of participation too :) The event was successful but the court was too hot as there was no ventilation at all. I hope Leo Club of SMK Kepong Baru will take that into consideration.
